STUDENT’S PERCEPTIONS AND LANGUAGE STYLES ANALYSIS ON THE ENGLISH POSTER OF IAIN SALATIGA EVENTS
The purpose of this research is to find the student's perceptions of the language styles of the English poster of IAIN Salatiga events and to explain the language styles used in the English poster of IAIN Salatiga events. This study uses a qualitative method with the collection of data and information needed through questionnaires and interviews, to the fifth semester and seventh semester of English education students at IAIN Salatiga with a total of 30 students as respondents to fill out the questionnaire, while 8 students who were selected went through an interview to find out more about perceptions. Students about English posters and the language style used. From the results of the research that has been done, it can be seen that English posters can help understand and learn English more easily with many students agreeing, especially learning new vocabulary, providing information through English, remembering the style of language used and constructing sentences using English. Although in the research, there were more who agreed, but there were those who did not agree about learning English, students who did not agree that English writing was too formal and uninteresting to read.
