THE ANALYSIS OF TEACHER’S EXPERIENCE IN GIVING FEEDBACK ON STUDENTS WRITING SKILLS IN DESCRIPTIVE TEXT (A Descriptive Qualitative Study on X Grade Students at SMA N 3 Salatiga in The Academic Year of 2024/2025)
The Objectives of the study are to investigate the condition of student's writing skills based on the teacher's experience before giving feedback, investigate the condition of students' writing ability based on the teacher's experience after feedback, and find the positive impact of providing feedback based on teacher experience during the teaching and learning process. The methodology of research was qualitative descriptive. The methods of collecting data included in-depth interviews and direct observation. The results showed that students' descriptive text writing quality before and after receiving feedback was very different. Before receiving feedback, the result found that the standard errors were related to content suitability, grammar, and vocabulary, which still needed some improvement, and a lack of cohesion between sentences. In contrast, students' descriptive writing after getting feedback from the teacher increased their ability in coherence, grammar, vocabulary, neatness of writing, and content suitability. From that, this shows that the impact of teacher feedback is proven to improve the quality of students' writing.
